1. Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster
The first mountain coaster on our list is the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster.
Located just outside of Collingwood and two hours north of Toronto, the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster is the first and only mountain coaster in Ontario.
The mountain coaster has a 1km long track and a downhill ride time of about 1:50 depending on your speed.
A popular attraction in summer, this ride is open all year round providing riders with a unique experience in each season.

2. Revelstoke Pipe Mountain Coaster
The next mountain coaster on our list is the Pipe Mountain Coaster and Revelstoke, BC.
The Revelstoke Pipe Mountain Coaster is a 1.4 km single-track mountain coaster that starts at Revelation Lodge and finishes in the Village Plaza.
In 2023, Revelstoke Mountain Resort has added a 2nd mountain coaster track to its line-up of summer activities!
The 2nd mountain coaster is just over 2km long and gives visitors a completely new experience.
Unlike your typical dual-rail mountain coasters, these mountain coaster features a monorail which is built close to the ground and simulates the thrill of downhill mountain biking.
The total downhill ride time is about 3 minutes long, depending on your speed.
In order to access both Pipe Mountain Coasters, you’ll need to take a ride on the Revelation Gondola up to the mid-station.
While the Pipe Mountain Coasters are one of the most popular activities in summer (they don’t operate in winter), there are many other activities to do a Revelstoke when you’re there.
These include taking a scenic gondola ride to the top of the mountain on the Revelation Gondola, mountain biking, hiking, walking and trail running just to name a few.

3. Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster
The third mountain coaster on our list is the Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster.
A fairly new addition to Canadian Mountain Coasters, the Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster had its first run in 2021.
The Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster is 1km long, with a total downhill ride time of about 2 minutes depending on your speed.
It is the only mountain coaster in the Ottawa / Gatineau Region.
The Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster, like the Pipe Mountain Coaster at Revelstoke, features a monorail rather than the standard dual mountain coaster track.
This mountain coaster is only open during the summer season which runs from May to October.
The Camp Fortune Mountain Coaster is located in Chelsea, Quebec. Camp Fortune is the closest ski resort to Ottawa and is located only 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa/Gatineau in Gatineau Park.

4. Eagle Coaster – Cypress Mountain
The fourth mountain coaster on our list is the Eagle Coaster located at Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver.
The Eagle Coaster currently holds the title of the longest mountain coaster in Canada!
With a total length of 1.7 km and a downhill ride time of about 3 minutes, the Eagle Coaster will not leave you disappointed.
The mountain coaster starts at the top of Eagle Express Quad Chair on Black Mountain and has a total vertical drop of 279m.
The Eagle Coaster is only open during the summer months and operating hours vary depending on the season.

5. Canyon Coaster
The fifth mountain coaster on our list and a new addition in 2022 is the Canyon Coaster located at the Canyon Ski Resort in Red Deer, Alberta.
This is the first and only mountain coaster in the state of Alberta.
The Canyon Coaster will have its first full season in 2023 and is one of the main attractions at the ski resort during the summer months.
The resort is expecting over 40,000 people to ride the mountain coaster during summer.
This Canyon Coaster has a total length of 1,345 meters (4,413 feet) and a total vertical descent of 134 meters (439 feet).

6. Railrider Mountain Coaster
The final mountain coaster on our list and a new addition in 2023 is the Railrider Mountain Coaster located at the Golden Skybridge in Golden, Southeast British Columbia.
This Railrider Mountain Coaster is located in one of the most stunning mountain locations and adds to an already wide range of activities available at the Golden Skybridge.
With a total length of 1,029 meters (3,375 feet) and a downhill section of 669 meters (2,195 feet), this is a mountain coaster not to be missed.
The ride is approximately 2 hours from Banff, 90 minutes from Revelstoke (the location of the Pipe Mountain Coaster), 1 hour from Lake Louis and 5 minutes from Golden.
