Night skiing might be one of the best skiing and snowboarding experiences you can have.

But unfortunately, night skiing is not offered at all large ski resorts in the USA.

We’re in the process of building the most comprehensive guide to night skiing in the US, one resort at a time.

Use the article below to check if the ski resort you’re heading to offers night skiing this winter.

If you want more information on each resort, including alternative options if the resort you’re visiting this winter doesn’t offer night skiing, then keep reading below.

California Night Skiing

Does Heavenly have night skiing?

Heavenly Resort in Lake Tahoe does not offer night skiing.

Lift operating hours at the Heavenly Resort are from 08:30 am to 4:30 pm during weekdays, and 08:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekends and holidays. You can find the most up-to-date operating hours here.

If you want to go night skiing then you have two options available that are within 55 miles of driving.

The closest night skiing to the Heavenly Resort can be found at Palisades Tahoe (about a 39-mile drive):

Alternatively, you could head out to Boreal (about a 53-mile drive):

Colorado Night Skiing

Does Aspen Snowmass have night skiing?

Aspen Snowmass does not have night skiing.

Normal lift hours are from 09:00 am – 3:30 pm.

There are unfortunately no ski resorts close by that offer night skiing.

If you’re looking for an evening activity and you happen to be in Aspen Snowmass for Ullr Nights then make sure you head up and take a ride on the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster which is open until 7:30 pm.

Does Beaver Creek have night skiing?

Beaver Creek does not offer night skiing.

Operating hours during the winter season are from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

If you’re based at Beaver Creek and looking to go night skiing in Colorado then we suggest heading to Keystone Resort.

Keystone offers night skiing until 8 pm and is about a 50-mile drive from Beaver Creek.

Does Breckenridge have night skiing?

Breckenridge does not offer night skiing.

Lift hours are from 8:30 to 4 pm.

However, if you’re still interested in night skiing, you can head to the Keystone Resort where you’ll find some of the best night skiing in Colorado.

Keystone is only a 16-mile drive from Breckenridge.

Does Copper Mountain have night skiing?

Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado does not offer night skiing.

Base area lifts are open from 9 am – 4 pm during the winter season. Lifts further up the mountain close earlier. You can check out the latest lift operating hours here.

However, if you’re still interested in night skiing, you can head to the Keystone Resort where you’ll find some of the best night skiing in Colorado.

Keystone is only a 19-mile drive from the Copper Mountain Resort.

Does Keystone have night skiing?

Keystone Resort does offer some of the best night skiing in Colorado.

Keystone night skiing is not offered every night during the winter season so we recommend checking their website to confirm which dates they are open.

Night skiing starts from the River Run base area, where you’ll find the River Run Gondola, and ends at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.

Does Purgatory have night skiing?

The Purgatory Resort no longer offers night skiing.

Night skiing was available during the 2017/2018 ski season for the first time in 15 years.

Lift operating hours at the Purgatory Resort are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. You can find the latest lift operating hours here.

Does Steamboat have night skiing?

Yes – the Steamboat Resort does have some of the best night skiing in Colorado.

Night skiing at Steamboat is available from mid-December to mid-March. Operating hours are typically from Monday to Thursday from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

Steamboat opens 5 trails at night catering for all ski levels – two beginners, two intermediate and one advanced trail. A great opportunity to enjoy more of the Champagne Powder® on offer!

Does Telluride have night skiing?

Telluride does not offer night skiing.

The ski area is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with the ski lifts higher up the mountain closing earlier.

Unfortunately, there is no ski resort nearby that offers night skiing if you’re looking for an alternative option.

If you’re looking for alternative nighttime activities, try out the Telluride Gondola, which connects Telluride and Mountain Village via Station St. Sophia.

The gondola runs from 6:30 am to midnight during summer and winter. On selected dates, the hours are extended to 2:00 am.

Does Vail have night skiing?

Vail does not offer night skiing.

Lift hours are from 8:30 to 4 pm depending on the time of the season. Check out the latest operating hours here.

However, if you’re still interested in night skiing, you can head to the Keystone Resort where you’ll find some of the best night skiing in Colorado.

Keystone is about a 37-mile drive from Vail.

Jackson Hole Night Skiing

Does Jackson Hole have night skiing?

Yes – the Snow King Mountain Resort in Jackson Hole does have night skiing.

This is the only night skiing available in Jackson Hole!

A great option if you’re planning on getting a few more runs in for the day. Night skiing at Snow King Mountain is open from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

If you’re heading to the Snow King Mountain Resort this winter then don’t forget to try out the Cowboy Coaster. A great non-ski family activity.

Utah Night Skiing

Does Park City Mountain Resort have night skiing?

Park City Mountain Resort no longer offers night skiing.

Night skiing at the Park City Mountain Resort ended with the 2017/2018 season. This was largely driven by a decline in guests’ demand for night skiing.

Lift hours are from 9 am – 4 pm.

If you’re looking to go night skiing in Utah then you can check out Brighton Resort. Night skiing is offered there from mid-December to mid-March each year from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The resort is only a 1hr drive from Park City Mountain Resort.

Does Snowbird have night skiing?

Snowbird Resort in Utah does currently not offer night skiing.

Lift hours are from 8:30 to 4:00 pm depending on the time of the season. Check out the latest operating hours here.

If you’re looking to add some night skiing to your trip then you can check out Brighton Resort which is only a 45-minute drive from Snowbird.

Brighton offers night skiing from mid-December to mid-March from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Vermont Night Skiing

Does Killington have night skiing?

The Killington resort does not offer night skiing.

During the regular season (mid-November through late April) the slopes are open from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (Monday – Friday) and from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (weekends and Peak Days).

The most up-to-date operating hours can be found here.

Unfortunately, there is no resort nearby that offers night skiing. So if you’re skiing at the Killington Resort this year, you’re going to have to stick with the normal operating hours.

Does Okemo have night skiing?

The Okemo Mountain Resort does not offer night skiing.

Normal lift hours during the winter season are from 09:00 am – 4:00 pm on weekdays and 08:00 am – 4:00 pm on weekends.

If you’re looking for an evening non-ski activity then make sure you try out the Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster.

This ride is available Thursday to Sunday until 5:00 pm (extended to 6:00 pm on Saturdays and holidays).
