The Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park in Gatlinburg plays host to the Rowdy Bear Alpine Coaster, a gravity-powered alpine coaster that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster is approximately 3,100 feet (945m) in length and offers riders an exhilarating ride with multiple 360-degree loops, twists and turns as it winds its way through the forest and down the mountain. The total ride time (including the cable-pulled ascent) is approximately 4-5 minutes. The entire experience is made up of two parts. Riders depart the loading station and are taken to the top of the mountain via a cable-pulled ascent. Riders are able to enjoy the beautiful scenery while watching their fellow riders descend down the mountain. As soon as riders reach the top the cart is released from the cable system and gravity takes over. This is when the fun begins! The minimum age for single riders is 10 and the rider must be at least 54" (137cm) tall.
